The One Day Website Special - $399

The concept behind this is pretty simple. Wheareas some developers might offer cheap websites for the express purpose of building their portfolio and making a name for themselves, my One Day website is not a "lose my shirt for a little self promotion" type of stunt. Nor is it the ploy of a novice web designer looking to make a quick buck.

Nope, it the the ploy of the hardened veteran looking to make a quick buck.

Seriously, a nice website in a day is not only possible, but is often the norm when I'm building small sites that are properly pre-prepared. Unfortunately, most jobs require logo and graphics creation, content editing, structure planning, and a host of other detail-oriented issues that arise through the course of the project. All things I enjoy doing, but it all takes time and therefore, costs money.

However, if a client has a Word document with all of their content written out, their logo, and good idea of what they want, then an eight hour session will yield a complete, professional website. And for this, I will discount my bill by $1. Whoa, easy now! One at a time, one at a time.

While larger projects mean more hours and hence, larger bills, it can often mean longer periods of time between payments. The One Day website is meant to provide continuous work for me when I'm not doing larger projects, and great quality sites for clients who don't mind doing some work to save some money.

The One Day website will be completed in one day. A standard eight-hour day is billed, even if the actual work exceeds that time allotment.
The One Day website will not exceed eight pages. *
You must submit your entire website's content in a Word or similar text document.
Any photos that you want to use, must be ready in digital format.
No logo creation included. If you have an existing logo, it must be included in the materials you send to me. If you just want your name, I can present it tastefully with a little graphics magic.
You must obtain your own web hosting.
Payment is due at completion. The website will be uploaded to your host when payment is received. You will be able to preview the site beforehand, but it will not be delivered until I have received payment.

To move forward on this special, please call or email me once you have your website content ready. This special is not for a limited time, so please take the time to make sure you have everything ready.

*This does not equate to an hour a page. Somewhere along the way, some brilliant web designer decided that the easy way to quote jobs was to start with a price per page and multiply that by the number of expected pages. 100 pages at $100 per page and voila! $10,000. A lot of other developers thought that was great idea (it is much easier than estimating work and hours) and followed suit, thereby losing sight of the fact that each site was unique, did require forethought before commiting to a price, and could not be quoted as if they were selling George Foreman Grills. And besides, the price per page quoting system always benefits the web developer.
